  • Support sickness absence management, employee relations cases, and investigations
  • Contribute to restructures, organisational change, and workforce planning
  • Help identify training and development needs in collaboration with L&D colleagues
  • Lead and support HR projects — including wellbeing initiatives and job evaluation
  • Provide accurate and timely people data, reporting, and annual employee checks
  • Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring best practice and legal compliance
  • Chair Job Evaluation panels
  • Oversee HR processes related to apprentices, volunteers, screening, parental leave, and onboarding
  • Drive continuous improvement across recruitment and HR administration
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding and safe working practices
  • Support risk management, health and safety, and compliance responsibilities

This role is varied, meaningful, and requires professionalism, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to analyse people data and produce reports
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively across teams
  • A proactive, solution‑focused and resilient mindset
