Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust (DCLT) are seeking an innovative and aspirational individual to lead and develop the organisation's people strategy with a key focus on recruitment, retention and staff experience across our portfolio of venues.

This is an exciting time to be joining the company, capital investment into our venues is enabling the Trust to truly deliver venues of excellence and we now need an inspiring lead to manage this integral aspect of our charity.

Empowered to influence the development of the people strategy and to support managers to deliver a high standards of service.

About the role

The role is accountable for the development and delivery of the people strategy, working alongside the management teams to ensure we support our employees. Be able to offer advice and guidance on the full spectrum of employment issues, HR policy and HR best practice. Provide support to managers on disciplinary, absence, performance, grievance, and appeal matters including attending meetings either virtually or face to face. Develop and implement HR strategy and policy to support people management across the Trust.

About the you

You will need a strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application. You willl need to be confident in creating and devising strategy and policy, and communicating this to the team. Be able to provide training and coaching to line managers to build confidence and capability in managing their teams effectively. Have good relationship management skills and the ability to mediate. Be innovative with your approach, looking at ways to create DCLT as an employer of choice.
