Job summary

A dynamic secondary school in Dartford is seeking a professional HR Advisor for a one-year maternity contract. Job description

We are seeking an efficient and professional HR Advisor for a one yearmaternity contract, to join this dynamic secondary school, improving organisational performance and being a trusted partner to leaders across the Academy.

As HR Advisor you will be responsible for :

  • Support the Principal and senior leaders with professional HR advice.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment from defining roles to onboarding successful candidates.
  • Keep employee records accurate and up to date across all systems.
  • Conducting all required pre‑employment checks.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, offering support and guidance when needed.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with employee relations cases (grievance, capability & disciplinary).
  • Help deliver HR and change management projects that drive continuous improvement.

On a personal note, the HR Advisor will be a minimum CIPD Level 3 qualified, bringing strong organisational skills and the natural ability to plan ahead. You will be an excellent communicator and able to build positive relationships quickly and effectively, demonstrating empathy and resilience. Experience of HR within a school setting is essential for this role.

This is a full time, on site role, working 35 hours per week, all year through.
