Job description

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a professional services firm on a 3 month fixed-term contract. Working across a broad client group, you will provide practical HR guidance on employee relations, performance, retention and day-to-day people matters. This role is ideal for someone confident in handling ER issues, delivering data-driven insights and supporting people initiatives in a fast-paced, partnership-led environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for managers, providing confident, fair and practical advice on a wide range of Employee Relations matters, including; grievances, disciplinaries and performance issues.
  • Coach and guide leaders on people practices and support informal resolution of issues.
  • Deliver and contribute to firm-wide HR projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables and content are met.
  • Support and mentor the HR Operations team, providing guidance, training and responding to ad hoc queries.
  • Analyse and present people data (MI, engagement surveys, exits, absence trends) to support strategic decision-making.
  • Review and improve existing HR Operations processes to ensure quality outputs and value.
About You
  • Experience in HR advisory roles, ideally within professional services environments.
  • Strong Employee Relations capability with sound judgement and confidence in providing guidance and escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with ability to collaborate with the wider team.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence working with people data and HR systems.
