Job description

An established and forward-thinking professional services organisation is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their collaborative team on a 15‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive HR professional to play a key role in providing day‑to‑day HR support and guidance across the business, partnering closely with managers and senior stakeholders.

Role
  • Act as the first point of contact for a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, wellbeing, and HR operations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
  • Support and coach managers on performance reviews, objective setting, and development conversations.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns from end to end, including advising on job descriptions and participating in interviews.
  • Support wellbeing and engagement initiatives to promote a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Ensure HR records are accurate and compliant with employment law and data protection requirements.
  • Produce HR reports and contribute to ongoing HR projects and process improvements.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy and compliance in collaboration with the HR and Finance teams.
About You
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a professional or corporate environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Confident in managing complex ER casework.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience) desirable.
