Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an HR advisory professional to provide frontline support to managers, coaching and attending meetings as part of a pro-active HR team.

The role includes delivering guidance on attendance management, flexible working, and Trust policies, taking minutes at sickness absence reviews when required, and contributing to group work and cross-cover across the HR function to help deliver service objectives.

To assist in the provision of a professional, comprehensive and pro-active HR advisory service to managers within the Trust by providing them with support, advice, coaching and attending meetings as appropriate. At the same time, working as part of a wider HR team to support delivery of team objectives and providing cross cover for colleagues as appropriate

Provide first line advice and support to managers and staff based on Trust terms and conditions, policies and procedures, including dealing with a wide range of HR queries in relation to management of attendance, flexible working, special leave etc. This includes advising managers on their interpretation and application, to maintain good employment practice and a positive approach to HR within a consistent framework. Support the administration of absence reviews in relation to the management of long term and short-term sickness absence cases.

This includes attendance at sickness absence review meetings to support managers in line with the Managing Attendance Policy including taking minutes when required. Support and advise managers in relation to flexible working requests when considering new requests or reviewing arrangements already in place, ensuring that Managers adhere to the policy and conduct a timely follow-up process. Provide administrative support to working groups and meetings as directed by the HR Managers.
