Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to deliver a professional, client-focused HR service across the full employee lifecycle. This is a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' generalist HR experience and will provide HR advice, manage employee lifecycle processes, and support recruitment activities. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice is essential.

HR Advisor (Temp to Perm) | Salary: £30,000–£35,000 | Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5pm | Location: Boston (site-based)

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to deliver a professional, client-focused HR service across the full employee lifecycle. This is a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

Role Overview

You will provide comprehensive HR advice and operational support to a varied client base, covering all generalist HR areas. This includes employee relations, documentation, onboarding, recruitment, policy development and HR systems support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on employee relations, employment law and best practice.
  • Attend client meetings and support disciplinary, grievance and other HR casework.
  • Draft and update contracts, handbooks and HR policies.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, right-to-work checks and documentation.
  • Support recruitment activities: advert creation, interview coordination and offer management.
  • Assist with HR systems implementation (e.g., BreatheHR).
  • Conduct HR audits and reviews for clients.
  • Deliver HR projects such as management training and TUPE support.
  • Maintain accurate records, meet KPIs and ensure excellent client care.
  • Support business development, marketing and client engagement activities.
Person Specification
  • CIPD Level 5 and minimum 2 years’ generalist HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing the employee lifecycle and HR/payroll systems.
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office; BreatheHR desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
