Purpose of the Job

To deliver outstanding customer service, supporting customers and providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of people management in a timely and effective manner, whilst maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity. You will be constantly striving to improve the efficiency and professionalism of working practices to meet the company's objective of “clarity and consistency” and working “smarter not harder” to facilitate an increase in customer base whilst maintaining and improving customer service.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Of The Job
  • Manage and support a portfolio of schools on all aspects of people management.
  • Respond to a wide range of customer enquiries, via Microsoft Teams, telephone, e‑mail, or in‑person, relating to a range of employment issues in a professional manner, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, credible and valuable advice.
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders.
  • Offer accurate interpretation, advice, and guidance to customers on employment legislation, best practice, statutory obligations and policies and procedures in relation to and in the context of customers' policies and procedures on a range of people matters. This includes employee relations casework, terms, and conditions of service, organisational change and redundancy, academy conversions and TUPE, recruitment and selection and exit strategies, liaising with more experienced colleagues where appropriate.
  • Attend and advise at formal hearings and appeals, and at trade union consultation meetings, as required.
