Job summary

A growing people-focused organisation in South Lanarkshire seeks an experienced HR Adviser to support managers and employees. This role involves handling HR generalist activities, leading employee relations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ HR experience and strong communication skills. Onsite 4 days a week, with one day working from home.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 3 or willingness to work towards it is highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
  • A solid understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and employees.
  • Manage employee relations activities and support resolutions.
  • Identify skills gaps and support training initiatives.
  • Assist managers in developing tailored development plans.
  • Support the performance management cycle and coaching.
  • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Produce HR reports highlighting trends and insights.

Anderson Knight Recruitment aredelighted to be supporting the recruitment of an experienced HR Adviser to join a growing and people-focused organisation based in South Lanarkshire. This role is based onsite 4 days per week with 1 day per week working from home and would beideal for someone who is confident, collaborative, and eager to make a meaningful impact across a busy HR function.

You’ll play a key role in supporting managers and employees, handling a wide range of generalist activity, and contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a trusted partner to managers and employees by providing clear, practical advice on HR policies, procedures, and day-to-day people matters.
  • Leading on employee relations activities, including managing cases, conducting fact-finding, and supporting constructive resolution of workplace issues.
  • Working with Learning & Development colleagues to identify skills gaps and support the design and delivery of training initiatives.
  • Assisting managers in developing tailored development plans that support employee growth and strengthen capability across the organisation.
  • Supporting the full performance management cycle, including objective setting, regular reviews, and coaching managers through conversations.
  • Contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by supporting initiatives that foster an inclusive and respectful working environment.
  • Producing accurate HR reports and dashboards that highlight trends, insights, and recommended actions for leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • CIPD Level 3 (or willingness to work towards it) — highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an HR generalist role
  • A solid understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and the ability to stay informed of key changes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving capability, and the ability to support conflict resolution effectively.
  • Comfort working with data, with the ability to draw meaningful insights to support decision-making.
