Arriva Rail London have a fantastic new role within the HR Operations team! Reporting directly into the Head of HR, we are on the hunt for a HR Operations Administrator. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a budding HR professional who has a strong administrative background but wants to progress into the HR Operations space. Responsibilities
- Organise and attend key meetings such as investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, union consultations, and sickness absence reviews.
- Take accurate, impartial minutes and prepare confidential meeting papers promptly.
- Manage processes such as nightworker questionnaires and provide minute‑taking support for Company Council and policy working groups.
- Support HR Advisors with Subject Access Requests, ensuring sensitive data is reviewed, redacted, and delivered within statutory timeframes.
- Create employee letters for changes in terms and conditions, promotions, and job moves.
- Process sickness absence data, run weekly reports, and maintain accurate HR records in line with GDPR.
- Keep HR systems and intranet pages up to date, support managers with Workday actions, and run standard reports.
- Coordinate HR inductions, support learning and development activities, and record attendance.
- Contribute to HR projects such as health and wellbeing initiatives, policy development, and continuous improvement activities.
- Suggest and implement process improvements, provide cover for colleagues when needed, and ensure seamless HR service delivery.

Qualifications
- You will need GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications).
- The ideal individual will have proven experience in an administrative role with strong organisation and attention to detail.
- This individual will need demonstrable experience of accurate data input and maintaining reliable records.
- The HR Operations Administrator will have working knowledge of MS Word including mail merge, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- You will need the ability to work flexibly, quickly, and accurately while managing competing priorities.
- The ideal individual will have experience handling high‑volume workloads and balancing planned and unplanned tasks effectively.
- This individual will need excellent communication skills written, verbal, and active listening paired with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- You will need the capability to organise your own workload while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- The HR Operations Administrator will have a proactive can‑do approach to problem‑solving knowing when to consult or escalation.
- The ideal individual will have resilience, remaining calm under pressure, overcoming blockers and ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
