The Role

This is a varied role where you will support employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle, helping to create a positive employee experience while ensuring our HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Working closely with the HR Manager and wider People team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities, from onboarding and employee engagement to HR systems, benefits, payroll checks and recruitment administration. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge, take ownership of your responsibilities and contribute to improving the way we deliver HR across the business.

You will be part of a collaborative team where your ideas are valued, your attention to detail makes a difference and you can build the skills and experience to take your HR career forward.

What You'll Do
  • Support employees and managers with HR queries, providing guidance on processes and procedures and ensuring queries are directed to the right people.
  • Coordinate onboarding and new starter administration, including employment documentation, enrolment processes and delivering HR inductions.
  • Manage employee leaver administration, including preparing documentation and conducting exit interviews.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR files and documentation, ensuring information is up to date throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of our HR system, working with internal and external stakeholders where required.
  • Assist with maintaining HR policies and procedures, helping ensure they remain current, effective and aligned with applicable employment legislation.
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations matters, including preparing documentation and taking meeting minutes.
  • Support the administration of Group Benefits schemes across our business entities and contribute to employee reward programmes.
  • Complete monthly payroll checks, identifying and escalating discrepancies where appropriate.
  • Support probationary reviews and appraisal processes, helping managers and employees meet key deadlines.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager on recruitment administration, including maintaining the recruitment system and posting job adverts.
  • Coordinate annual employee surveys, support communications and help follow up on agreed actions.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, communications and documentation to support business needs.
  • Help manage HR documentation within our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring records are created, updated and removed as required.
  • Build positive working relationships across the business, contribute ideas for process improvements and promote Sulmara's values and culture.
What You'll Need
Skills and Experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, global working environment.

  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, integrity and professionalism.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships and contribute to a wider HR team.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Previous experience working in an HR environment would be advantageous, but it isn't essential. We are interested in your potential, your attitude and your enthusiasm for developing a career in HR, so don't be put off if you don't tick every box.
