Job description

We are looking for a proactive and organised HR Administrator to provide comprehensive support to our HR Manager within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is central to maintaining compliance, supporting recruitment, and driving employee engagement, with a strong focus on safety training and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update HR databases to ensure accuracy.
  • Support recruitment processes, including coordinating interviews and onboarding new employees.
  • Prepare HR letters, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist with new starter inductions and employee communications.
  • Record and track absence, headcount, and other HR metrics.
  • Take minutes for meetings, including disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Organise and manage training courses, liaising with managers and providers.
  • Maintain training records and send reminders for recertifications.
  • Support internal communications relating to learning and development initiatives.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Prepare data and insights for management reporting.
  • Manage apprentice recruitment end-to-end.
What We’re Looking For

Ideally you will have previous administration experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment, although candidates with relevant education history will also be considered i.e. degree in business or HR.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with an ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
