Job description

HR Administrator Food Manufacturing

Bolton £27,000 On-site, Full Time

Some HR admin jobs are all filing, forms, and following up.

This one s that plus a bit of everything else that makes a site tick.

You ll be the person who keeps the HR side of the business organised and moving from handling payroll queries and tracking absences to supporting employee relations meetings and keeping everyone informed.

It s a busy, people-focused role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where no two days look the same, and where being organised, approachable, and proactive matters more than ticking every qualification box.

What you ll be doing:
  • Managing HR admin contracts, starters/leavers, absence tracking, and payroll support.
  • Being the friendly face people come to with HR queries (and actually helping them).
  • Taking notes in ER meetings and keeping records accurate and up to date.
  • Helping with internal comms newsletters, notices, and updates.
  • Supporting engagement initiatives and day-to-day site activity.
  • Keeping systems, files, and processes neat, tidy, and compliant.
What you ll need:
  • HR admin or general office admin experience (manufacturing would be a bonus).
  • Great organisation skills the type who likes things done properly.
  • Confidence dealing with people at all levels, face to face and over email.
  • Ideally CIPD Level 3 or working towards it (but attitude counts more).
  • The ability to juggle priorities without losing your cool.
What s in it for you:
  • £27,000 salary
  • A genuinely varied role in a business that values its people
  • Support to develop your HR career including professional qualifications
  • A friendly, down-to-earth team where you ll be trusted to get things done
