The successful candidate will manage HR documentation, assist in recruitment, and serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries. School: Secondary School Lewisham Southeast London


Actual Annual Salary: 23202 - 24897


Start date: January 2026


Contract: Permanent full-time 08:00am‑16:00pm Monday to Friday term time only on-site


Aston Education is working with a large Ofsted Good secondary school in Lewisham looking for an HR Administrator.

Main responsibilities include


  • Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries

  • Administer HR-related documentation such as contracts of employment new starter / leaver forms

  • Ensure the relevant HR databases are up to date accurate and complies with legislation

  • Assist in the recruitment process organise interviews and issue relevant correspondence

  • Diary management and arranging meetings

  • Accurate use and upkeep of filing and record keeping


You’ll have


  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)

  • CIPD qualification (Level 3) is desirable

  • HR experience in a school

  • Experience of recruitment onboarding pre-employment checks as well as updating a schools Single Central Record

  • A strong understanding of equality of opportunity and diversity of issues

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
