Salary: Scale 3 £25,583 – £25,989 per annum (actual salary)

Contract: Temporary until 31 August 2026

Hours: 37 hours per week (Full‑time, with part‑time and term‑time options available)

Job Summary

The role involves a wide range of administrative duties, including safer‑recruitment work and serving as the first point of contact for HR colleagues. You will manage the busy HR email inbox and telephone enquiries, draft and handle letters, contracts, communications and minutes, and provide general back‑office support to the team.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and handle telephone calls and enquiries in a courteous manner
  • Manage the HR email inbox, responding to routine queries with support from the team
  • Draft and prepare letters, contracts, communications and meeting minutes to a high standard
  • Assist with safer‑recruitment procedures and maintain related records
  • Act as the first point of contact for the HR Team
  • Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects as required
Qualifications
  • Preferable previous experience working in an HR environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, proactive approach and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of basic HR processes and data protection principles is desirable
  • Available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week; part‑time applicants must specify 15 days term‑time plus 30 hours per week
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS check
