A UK educational institution in Canterbury is seeking a full-time administrator skilled in HR tasks within a school environment. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and proficiency in ICT. Training and support will be provided, alongside a commitment to safeguarding children. This role may also consider part-time or term-time arrangements.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an excellent grasp of the written word plus a friendly telephone manner.
Previous experience of HR work within a school environment is desirable but not essential. The ability to work accurately and to cope with the demands and pace of the workflow are essential, as are the ability to prioritise, to meet deadlines and to work well within a team. You can expect a high level of support to thrive in this demanding role.
Training will be provided for the various ICT systems used, although proficiency with ICT in general is essential, with an emphasis on word processing, spreadsheets and maintaining management information systems.
This role will suit an administrator looking for a role within an educational setting or an experienced administrator looking to further their expertise in HR. The role is full‑time all‑year‑round but we will consider applicants that are interested in a term‑time only role or a part‑time role all year around. The role requires occasional travel within the Trust area which includes 2 schools in Canterbury and one in Thanet.
CIPD level training courses/qualifications are supported for the right candidate.
In line with KCSIE 2022 guidance, as part of the shortlisting process, the Trust reserves the right to conduct an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence and any relevant information found concerning a candidate's suitability to work with children will be discussed at interview stage. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts. All posts will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Prevent Duty.
