We are looking for an engaging and passionate Scheme Support Officer to join our amazing team in Pontypool on a Part-time (36 hrs), Fixed-term contract (until 31st August 2026). Where does the role fit in?
Hales House is a Generic scheme, providing supported accommodation to people aged 16 and over.
This service provides housing related support to assist our clients to move into independent living.

Day to Day Duties: As a Scheme Support Officer, you work alongside the Project Workers, manage the scheme at night and be available to our customers who need support day or night.
Your day will consist of: Engaging and interacting with our customers Supporting Project Workers in delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have Our motivation is to ensure we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently.
This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.
You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

What are the pay and benefits: Competitive salary of £24,531.00 FTE (£12.75 per hr) Part-time (36 hrs), Fixed-term (until 31st August 2026) Work pattern: The scheme is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week so you would be expected to work on a 3-week rolling rota of 12 hour shifts which would involve: waking nights and weekend nights & days and one weekend off in
3. Enhanced DBS which we will pay for 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 27 days after 1 years’ service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave Pension scheme.
