A recruitment agency is seeking Casual Housing Support Workers in Northumberland to provide resettlement support in a hostel setting. The ideal candidate will assist clients with tenancy agreements, welfare rights and community links. Experience in client support and understanding of housing management tasks are essential. This ongoing role requires an Enhanced DBS Check.

Overview

Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for Casual Housing Support Workers to work in the Northumberland area, on an ongoing basis.
As a Housing Support Worker, you will be providing resettlement support to clients within a hostel environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out client needs and risk assessment for all referrals
  • Supporting tenants through individual resettlement support plans
  • Ensuring clients comply with their tenancy agreement
  • Supporting clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education and training
  • Develop links with the local community
  • Ensuring communication systems are accurately maintained and up-to-date
  • Maintaining the Health and Safety incident and accident records
  • Being aware of and working within agreed organisation policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • Must have a proven track record of providing information, advice and guidance to clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic IT suitable for an office environment
  • Knowledge of basic housing management tasks, i.e. rent collection, tenancy agreements and arrears management
