A social services organization in Fife is seeking an Accommodation Case Worker to provide support for individuals experiencing homelessness. The role centers around empowering clients to achieve sustainable housing solutions through personalized support and effective case management. If you are driven to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and believe in empowering individuals to achieve independent, secure, and fulfilling futures, we are recruiting an Accommodation Case Worker to join our client’s dynamic, Fife-wide Core and Cluster team. Based in Kirkcaldy, you’ll work closely with people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home, helping them build confidence, stability, and long-term resilience. This role offers the chance to be part of a service that champions strength-based, trauma-informed practice and is dedicated to delivering genuine, sustainable change.
Housing Support & Management:
Assess new referrals and identify support needs and risk factors alongside the Lead for Accommodation Services.
Deliver tailored one-to-one support that empowers individuals to set and achieve personal goals.
Safely support people with a range of needs, including complex or multiple vulnerabilities.
Manage your caseload effectively, guiding individuals through transitions from temporary to more permanent housing.
Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and outcome data to ensure quality and compliance.
Assist clients with occupancy paperwork, Housing Benefit applications, and tenancy-related tasks.
Promote tenancy sustainment, positive routines, and adherence to accommodation standards.
Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure coordinated, person-led support.
Participate in the rota to maintain safe, consistent service delivery.
Experience in a client-facing role within housing, social care, or community support.
Experience supporting people with complex needs such as trauma, mental health, substance use, or learning difficulties.
SVQ2 in a relevant field (or working towards).
Understanding of homelessness and its wider social causes.
Ability to manage a caseload and write clear, objective case notes.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage challenging situations.
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (business insurance required), or the ability to travel throughout Fife.
