A supportive housing service in Wales is seeking a dedicated individual to assist clients in developing tenancy management skills and provide essential housing support. The role is varied and rewarding, with responsibilities including client engagement, support plan management, and workshops. Maes Y Derwen is a warm, welcoming and friendly service providing supported accommodation to individuals aged 16+ experiencing homelessness. We work with a diverse group of people from varying backgrounds, some of whom may have experienced trauma and complex needs. Every day is different, you’ll be learning new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies. We engage with the people we support through positive meaningful activities and provide a Psychologically Informed Environment.
Your role would be working with our clients to teach tenancy management skills and provide any other housing related support they may require.
Our team supports vulnerable individuals to develop key skills that help prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, promote resettlement into the community, and achieve positive progression. You will play a key role in enabling individuals to achieve their goals and empowering them to lead independent lives.
You will manage your own caseload, supported by the Manager, Lead Project Worker and the team. This is a varied, challenging, and rewarding role within a committed team delivering high-quality support.
Every day is different, offering the opportunity to learn new skills and work with a variety of agencies including housing services, DWP, social services, the police, and health professionals.
Full-time (37 hours), Permanent position
