Overview

Lancashire and West Yorkshire — Temporary Casual Shifts — £12.21 to £12.50 per hour.

We are recruiting Housing Accommodation Support Workers to work within supported housing and accommodation-based services across Lancashire and West Yorkshire. You will be supporting adults with a range of needs including housing-related support, mental health and social vulnerabilities.

This role is offered on a casual basis, suitable for candidates with experience in housing or support environments.

Role

You will provide day to day housing related support to service users, helping them maintain their accommodation and progress towards independence.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting residents to sustain their accommodation
  • Carrying out needs and risk assessments
  • Supporting tenancy or licence compliance
  • Providing practical support around budgeting, benefits and daily living
  • Supporting engagement with external agencies and support services
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns appropriately
  • Managing low level challenging behaviour where required
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and handover records
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
  • Working within safeguarding and organisational policies
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in supported housing or accommodation based services
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults
  • Understanding of housing related support and tenancy sustainment
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping
