Job description
Overview

Are you passionate about ensuring safe, compliant, and well‑maintained homes? Do you have the leadership skills to drive excellence in housing asset compliance?

This role focuses on statutory building safety compliance across housing assets, so you will play a pivotal role in protecting residents and delivering high‑quality housing services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee statutory building safety across our housing portfolio, including fire safety, gas, electrical systems, water hygiene, lifts, and asbestos compliance.
  • Implement cyclical testing and servicing programmes.
  • Procure and manage contracts for compliance services.
  • Ensure health & safety and regulatory compliance across all housing stock.
  • Maintain accurate statutory records and databases.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare reports, and respond to complaints, FOIs, and disrepair claims.
  • Manage additional systems such as access control, CCTV, emergency power, and disability aids, ensuring installations are safe, certified, and fit for purpose.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Excellent knowledge of statutory regulations and health & safety standards.
  • Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Building Studies) and professional membership (e.g., CIBSE, RICS, MCIOB).
  • Experience with housing compliance systems like True Compliance is a plus.
