The Role

This is an exciting role within Winchester City Council’s Landlord Services team. You will be one of six Housing Officers responsible for delivering housing management services to our customers within a designated patch in the Winchester district.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a customer‑focused, high quality housing management service for 5,000 general needs and sheltered housing properties.
  • Support customers signing up for new tenancies, manage tenancy changes and enforcement, and handle complex tenancy cases including nuisance and anti‑social behaviour.
  • Prepare and serve legal paperwork, represent the Council at court, and make referrals to tenancy support and sustainment services.
  • Provide assistance with rent arrears and estate management when required.
  • Maintain strong housing management background and ability to manage difficult conversations while ensuring service providers are held accountable for vulnerable customers.
Qualifications
  • Professional Diploma in Housing or equivalent through relevant training/experience.
  • Current full Driving Licence.
  • Evidence of housing law knowledge and understanding of regulatory obligations.
