Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Housing Management Officer in Blackburn for ongoing temporary work until April 2026, with opportunities for permanency. Qualifications

  • Experience of working with people or those who have experienced homelessness.
  • An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, and substance misuse.
  • Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients and support their progression towards independence.
  • Run group sessions and activities for residents' development.
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of clients using safeguarding procedures.
  • Lead on risk and needs assessment for key clients.
  • Responsible for cleaning tasks in the hostel accommodation.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group support opportunities aimed at increasing resilience.

Skills

Experience working with individuals facing homelessness
Understanding of safeguarding requirements
Ability to support individuals with mental health issues
