About the role

You will have a caseload of housing litigation involving housing disrepair claims, possession claims, injunctions and other Anti‑Social Behaviour cases. Experience of working in a local authority and residential property litigation is desirable.

You will be expected to advise the Council on housing matters including housing disrepair claims, possession claims of all types, injunctions, breaches of injunctions, closure orders and other nuisance‑related litigation. You will represent the Council in court and tribunals and act as a legal advisor to the Housing Appeals Committee, requiring strong communication skills and an understanding of the Council's governance arrangements.

We are looking for someone with keen legal judgment, a problem‑solving approach, and the ability to handle difficult cases.
