Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment is seeking a Housing Director for a leading national law firm in Manchester. The role combines senior leadership with high-quality housing work and strategic department development.

The Director will manage a complex caseload, supervise lawyers, and drive business growth while ensuring Legal Aid compliance and quality standards across the Housing department.

Qualifications

• Significant Housing Law experience.
• Strong knowledge of Legal Aid and publicly funded work.
• Previous supervision or management experience.
• Excellent advocacy and client care skills.
• Strong leadership and communication ability.
• Commercial awareness and growth-focused mindset.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment is pleased to be working with a leading national law firm, who are seeking an experienced Housing Solicitor to join their Manchester office as a Director.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Housing Lawyer looking to step into a senior leadership position, managing and developing an established Housing department whilst continuing to undertake high-quality housing work.

The Role

As Housing Director, you will be responsible for:
