On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Senior Environmental Health/Housing Enforcement Officer to provide a visible day‑to‑day operational management of a team of Housing Enforcement and Licensing Officers delivering a range of housing interventions, and to support and mentor trainee and apprentice Environmental Health or Housing Practitioners.
You will develop a positive and proactive culture and enthuse others to perform to an excellent standard in the delivery of a range of public health, housing enforcement and licensing functions.
You will work as part of the Environmental Health & Housing Team to undertake housing related inspections, enforcement and licensing activities, empty homes, caravan sites, unauthorised encampments and associated duties in respect of the Council’s housing enforcement function across a range of tenures. You will use legislation, including public health and Statutory Nuisance, and apply a risk‑based intelligence‑led approach.
