Housing Disrepair Solicitor

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Lawyer to join their expanding department. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven legal professional to manage their own caseload, deliver outstanding client service, and achieve strong legal outcomes on behalf of tenants.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Manage a full caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from instruction to completion.
  • Conduct legal research and provide clear, accurate advice to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence, and other key documents.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in hearings where required.
  • Handle litigation from pre-action through to trial, including liaising with defendants, experts, and opposing solicitors.
  • Assess liability and quantum, obtain expert evidence, and prepare schedules of loss.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement meetings as needed.
  • Use case management systems and digital workflows efficiently (Proclaim experience advantageous).
  • Support and supervise a small sub-team where required.
  • Stay up to date on relevant case law, legislation, and procedural developments.
