Job description

The Housing Concierge provides an on-site presence at supported accommodation owned or leased by Home Group. This may include waking cover overnight, weekends, or other hours as directed by the Senior Client Services Manager. The role is primarily lone-working, ensuring the safety and security of tenants and the building while supporting positive relationships with neighbours and the wider community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site presence, including overnight waking cover or unsocial hours as required, maintaining the safety and security of tenants and the building.
  • Act as first point of contact for the "on-call" system and liaise with sleep-in staff in emergencies.
  • Supervise entry and exit of the building and maintain full and accurate shift logs.
  • Monitor CCTV, conduct security patrols, and carry out cleaning duties where necessary.
  • Identify defects and support timely maintenance.
  • Take immediate action in emergencies, contacting emergency services and relevant staff as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Home Group's Health and Safety policies and risk management procedures.
  • Engage professionally and respectfully with vulnerable residents, enforce tenancy conditions and house rules, and maintain positive neighbour relations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and managers and participate in ongoing learning and development.
