Job summary

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a Regulatory Support Officer to uphold housing standards across the borough. You’ll provide administrative and technical support within the Private Sector Housing team to keep the private rented sector safe, well‑managed and fair for residents.

Based in the Borough three days a week with two days at home, you’ll process licence applications, conduct data research, issue enforcement notices when required, and act as a central contact for

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of housing legislation, including Housing Act 2004 and Renters' Rights Act.
• Public sector or housing sector experience preferred.
• Strong investigative and analytical capabilities with data research.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate licence applications under Housing Act 2004.
• Maintain Private Rented Sector Landlord Database and ensure accurate fee collection.
• Conduct data research, intelligence gathering and background checks on landlords.
• Prepare and serve statutory enforcement notices and risk-rate cases as required.
