Job summary

Park Holidays UK Ltd. is seeking a friendly housekeeping team member at West Mersea Holiday Park, Colchester, Essex. The role involves cleaning and preparing holiday homes and communal areas, plus laundry duties, to ensure guest comfort and high standards.

You will work 20 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, on Monday and Friday. Previous housekeeping experience is welcome but not essential; a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and teamwork are valued to deliver outstanding guest

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organisation.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork to support a busy housekeeping team.
• Willingness to work on the specified days (Monday and Friday).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain holiday homes and communal areas to a high standard.
• Assist with laundry tasks including washing, drying and ironing of linen and towels.
• Use and store cleaning products and equipment safely following health and safety guidelines.
• Keep track of cleaning and laundry supplies and report shortages to management.
• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to prioritise tasks and complete duties on time.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address guest requests related to housekeeping.

Overview

Join our dedicated housekeeping team at Park Holidays UK, where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create unforgettable guest experiences every day. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of holiday homes and communal areas, as well as assisting with laundry duties.

Job Duties

• Clean and maintain holiday homes and communal areas to a high standard, ensuring that all areas are spotless and well-organised.
• Assist with laundry tasks including washing, drying, and ironing of linen and towels to ensure they are clean and ready for guest use.
• Use and store cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately, following all relevant health and safety guidelines.
• Keep track of cleaning and laundry supplies, reporting any shortages or issues to management to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and cleaning staff to prioritise tasks and ensure that all duties are completed efficiently and on time.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently within the designated working hours.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and laundry duties.
