Overview

Take a hands‑on, supervisory role when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as the Housekeeping Supervisor at our luxury care and nursing home in Caversham.

Responsibilities
  • Our residents are our focus at Signature, and their comfort and safety are paramount. Day‑to‑day, you will efficiently run all housekeeping services, carry out equipment checks and preventive maintenance, and provide a consistent high level of service through efficient staff and cleaning rotas.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness build confidence in our service delivery.
  • Deal with complaints promptly and directly, reporting them to the hospitality manager and ensuring lessons are learned for the future.
  • Possess an excellent knowledge of the COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and ensure all staff are fully trained, maintaining maximum levels of cleanliness, health and safety.
  • Internally, this role is called Hospitality Supervisor; you will work across Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Wellbeing & Lifestyle departments, with responsibilities varying depending on which department you support.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
  • Confident leader with supervisory experience and experience of COSHH and knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • IT literate, flexible, a great manager of workload, calm under pressure, energetic, proactive, flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to work outside normal hours in emergency situations and a full, clean driving licence are a big advantage.
