Job summary

Motel One is seeking a Housekeeping Coordinator to support the coordination and management of the housekeeping department at our Newcastle upon Tyne property. You will work to uphold Motel One standards and supervise cleaning staff to maintain high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have hotel experience or related roles, enjoy developing employees, and communicate effectively in English. A team-oriented approach and willingness to support across departments are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the housekeeping department under supervision.
• Oversee ordering and deliveries within housekeeping.

• Ensure Motel One housekeeping standards and cleanliness across areas.
• Support onboarding and cross-training of new hires in Housekeeping.

Your focus: The well-being of guests and employees. You will support the coordination and management of the housekeeping department. You will also be responsible for:

• Shared responsibility for ordering and deliveries within the housekeeping department
• Collaboration with internal and external cleaning staff
• Ensuring and implementing Motel One Housekeeping standards and responsibility for cleanliness in all areas
• Co-responsibility for the implementation of internal coaching, cross-training and induction of new employees in Housekeeping
• Cross-departmental insights into new areas of activity through cooperation in our multicultural teams
