Main duties of the job

The role of a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare involves working as part of a team to ensure that the cleanliness and laundry standards are maintained in the home. You will be following standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry. The job entails carrying out all cleaning duties as instructed, understanding cleaning requirements for different surfaces, and ensuring residents are treated with dignity. Candidates must live the values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Ideal candidates should have knowledge of Health and Safety protocols, experience in cleaning laundry in public settings, and demonstrate compassion and commitment. The position requires a DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
