Job description

This Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare is an opportunity to join a supportive, caring team and make a positive impact on the lives of residents in a luxury elderly care home. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry, while treating residents with dignity and respect.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work as part of a team to ensure all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will follow standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, maintaining hotel service standards. Other responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties, understanding cleaning requirements for different surfaces, and respecting residents’ personal space and belongings.

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.

• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Required certifications

• A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
