Job responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry in the home. This includes carrying out cleaning duties, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect. The role requires knowledge of health and safety, experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting, and the ability to be adaptive and flexible.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
