Job summary

Vita Student in Sheffield is seeking a Housekeeper to join our premium residence team. The role is permanent, 18 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.45 and shifts from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Join a luxury student living environment where you help maintain spotless studios and support residents with a high standard of service, using technology to record each clean and manage stock levels.

Qualifications

• A well-versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi-room residence facilities such as accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals.
• Operations rely on technology systems and software; housekeeping staff must be technologically astute.
• Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional, personalised room cleaning service to students, keeping studios clean, healthy and presentable.
• Follow designated schedules and complete tasks like dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, antibacterial cleaning, and making beds.
• Maintain facilities and respond to issues, acting as a point of contact for incidents on site.
• Record and photograph each studio clean before and after completion using a smartphone or tablet.
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and assist in ordering to maintain inventory.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations to protect health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.

Vita Student's next-level apartment design offers a variety of studios to suit our students lives with the privacy of living alone or the laughter of living together. We offer style, luxury & comfort to our residents, surrounded by premium amenities and a vibrant city life. We’re expanding our housekeeping team with the appoint of an experienced Housekeeper to deliver a luxury, home-from-home cleaning service for our residents’ studio apartments whilst ensuring our premium site & facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Our Housekeepers

Provide an exceptional, personalised room cleaning service to students by ensuring their studios are maintained to a clean, healthy & presentable standard. Working towards designated schedules, cleaning duties include but are not exclusive to; dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, anti-bacterial cleaning of surfaces and making beds.

• Ensure our facilities are being looked after respectfully by students & guests.
• Maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities.
• Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
• Be a point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.
• Maintain waste management areas adhering to health & safety regulations, ensuring potential hazards are addressed / cleaned / tidied / reorganised as required.
• Using a smart phone / tablet, record & manage each studio clean: each studio clean is to be photographed prior to, and at the end of each clean.
• Report any concerning behaviour of students that could be an indication of welfare concern.
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager. Assist in ordering stock to maintain appropriate inventory.
• Housekeepers must understand and follow "Control of Substances Hazardous to Health” (COSHH) regulations to protect their health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.

Where festive and religious celebrations require time off, we will always try to accommodate, however flexibility from our Customer Service Assistants is imperative to be available as required to ensure continuous service to residents.
