Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield. You will join a dedicated team focused on maintaining cleanliness and laundry standards to ensure a comfortable living environment for residents.

The role requires flexibility to cover various tasks, adherence to health and safety practices, and a compassionate approach to resident care. DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
