Salary: £23 gross per hour (annualised approx. £41,262–£46,046 depending on agreed weekly hours)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours Required: Monday to Friday. 10/11am to 6pm (5.30pm on Fridays).
Driver: Not required

A warm, organised family in Herne Hill is seeking a proactive Housekeeper/ Nanny to support their home as they welcome a new baby. Two children attend local schools within walking distance, and the role blends daytime housekeeping with focused after‑school childcare. Mum will be on maternity leave and values clear communication and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping (approx. 60%)

  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well‑organised family home every day
  • Ensure deeper tasks are scheduled e.g. inside fridge
  • Keep children’s bedrooms and communal areas organised and toys tidy and sorted
  • Family and children’s laundry, washing, drying, folding and putting away
  • Cook healthy evening meals for the children each day
  • Batch cooking for the freezer when time allows
  • Stock rotation, checking expiry dates and updating the shopping list
  • Accept deliveries and manage basic household errands

Childcare (approx. 40%)

  • Local school pick‑ups on foot
  • Play, reading and after‑school routines 3pm–6pm (5.30pm Fridays)
  • Prepare children’s tea and support calm, positive end‑of‑day routines
  • Occasional short periods with the baby while mum is with the older children
Requirements
