Job summary

The Royal Castle in Dartmouth is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to join our team. You’ll greet guests warmly, help them feel at home and keep bedrooms and common areas spotless throughout their stay.

No prior experience? No problem — we’ll provide training and support to learn on the job, with a focus on delivering a warm, memorable guest experience in a picturesque waterside setting.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Able to maintain clean and tidy rooms and public spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome to guests and ensure rooms and public areas are clean and well-presented.
• Keep bedrooms, en-suites and corridors tidy and stocked for guest stays.
• Assist with other housekeeping tasks as needed to support the team.

Job description

The Royal Castle occupies a landmark location in the heart of Dartmouth. Our award-winning 17th-century hotel enjoys enviable views over the River Dart and offers the perfect place for enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. You'll be working in a picturesque corner of South Devon adorned with serene outdoor spaces that will take your breath away. While the waterside offers a restful escape, the town itself buzzes with life, striking a perfect balance that provides something for everyone.

We're looking for a Housekeeper to join our close-knit team. You'll provide a warm welcome to guests, making them feel at home throughout their stay, while keeping our rooms looking spick and span. If you haven't done this kind of work before, we'll support you to learn.
