A regional health service provider in Oldham is seeking a passionate Housekeeper to deliver high-quality service in the Critical Care unit. The role includes maintaining cleanliness standards, managing stock, and supporting a multi-disciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high‑quality service to patients and be responsible for the coordination of all patient facilities in the unit area.
We currently have 1 (37.5 hrs) full‑time position and 1 (24 hrs) position available.
Support the nursing team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the ICU, bed areas, equipment, and storage areas.
Report and monitor environmental cleanliness and safety and monitor quality standards.
Maintain stock and equipment levels.
The post provides an exciting challenge and an opportunity to support patients, the multi‑disciplinary team, and relatives.
Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise across multi‑agency and multi‑disciplinary departments are required.
Ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is essential.
This role includes daily organization, maintaining stock levels, audits and cleanliness of the environment.
Work with a fantastic, supportive team. Regular feedback and one‑to‑one support will be provided by the manager.
Duties include stores ordering, stock management, equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping of the unit.
Work in an orderly, systematic manner and possess literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
Show caring attitude and ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
