Job summary

J D Wetherspoon is seeking a hotel housekeeping associate in Warminster to uphold excellent cleanliness standards across all areas. You will greet guests politely and ensure bedrooms and other spaces are cleaned in line with our procedures.

The role involves completing regular cleaning tasks, using chemicals safely, managing supplies, and documenting laundry activities. Training and progression opportunities are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No experience is needed; a good attitude, a willingness to learn and a calm head under pressure.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Team player with a positive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning all hotel areas thoroughly to high standards.
• Interact politely with guests: greet, say thank you and goodbye.
• Service bedrooms and other areas per SOPs.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks as required.
• Follow correct procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Monitor supplies and notify the manager when more are needed.
• Store laundry correctly and complete relevant documentation.
• Adhere to stock-control procedures and maintain stock security.
• Report security issues, safety hazards, accidents or maintenance to the manager.
• Complete induction and training, contributing to continuous improvement.

Job description

At a glance, your role is to clean all areas of the hotel thoroughly, with the aim of enhancing the guests` experience by having excellent standards of cleanliness at all times.

Duties include:

• interacting politely with guests - greeting them, saying `thank you` and `goodbye`
• servicing bedrooms and all other areas of the hotel in line with our standard operating procedures
• completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, as required
• following correct procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
• monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying the manager when more are needed
• storing all laundry correctly and completing relevant documentation
• adhering to stock-control procedures and maintaining security of stock at all times
• reporting any security issues, safety hazards, accidents, incidents and/or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
• completing required induction, role-specific and ongoing refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement
