Athena Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Goodwins Hall Care Home in King’s Lynn. You will maintain high cleaning standards, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

The role reports to the Head Housekeeper, offers a 30-hour week on a rota from Monday to Sunday, and pays £12.71 per hour. Training provided; experience is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous, but training will be provided.
• A passion for care and residents’ welfare.
• Excellent communication and customer service with high attention to detail.

As a Housekeeper at Goodwins Hall Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of service within the home.

About Goodwins Hall Care Home:

Nestled in a quiet area at the bottom of Goodwins Road, our 76-bedroom care home is known for its beautiful fountain centrepiece at the entrance.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning are delivered in the home to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Salary:

£12.71 per hour.

Shift Pattern:

30 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Home Location:

Goodwins Road, King's Lynn, England, PE30 5PD.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that cleaning duties are carried out in accordance to the cleaning schedule, ensuring the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene are maintained.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are being met and that infection control policies and universal precautions are followed at all times.
• To actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in a similar position is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
• A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
