Job description

Housekeepers are responsible for providing and maintaining cleaning and catering services as part of the Hotel Services team within the Trust, ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for staff and patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cleaning for office, patient, and communal areas.
  • Maintain safety and hygiene standards in a demanding environment.
  • Assist with catering and food service as required.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi‑professional team, thinking on the spot and demonstrating empathy.
  • Maintain a positive approach and image when working with client groups across the Trust.
Requirements
  • Part‑time position (10 hours) shifts 7‑9 am, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work short notice or extra hours.
  • Experience with cleaning duties, use of chemicals, and equipment.
  • Experience or volunteering in a mental health and learning disabilities setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
Qualifications
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or commitment to obtain within an agreed timescale.
  • Numeracy, literacy, and IT Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grades 9‑4 A‑C in the old system).
  • NVQ Level 2 Housekeeping desirable.
  • Commitment to undertake further training and qualifications as required.
