A leading hospitality group is seeking a House Manager for their Swanage location. In this operational role, you will ensure the effective running of hotel services, enhance guest experiences, and manage a team across various departments. The ideal candidate has at least three years of hospitality management experience and familiarity with OPERA or Fidelio systems. Location: THE PIG- on the beach, Studland, Dorset BH19 3AU
Salary: £36,000 per annum, (OTE £40,590 per annum including tronc)
Hours: 45 hours per week, including weekends
As House Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's front-of-house, enhancing guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.
You’ll oversee daily operations and respond promptly to guest needs. Your leadership will coordinate Reception, Treatments, Grounds, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Night Porters to deliver exceptional service.
This is a hands‑on operational role requiring composure under pressure, strong decision‑making, and attention to detail. Clear communication and organization will be essential as you lead the team to create memorable guest experiences.
Reporting to the Hotel Director and Deputy General Manager, you’ll be the first point of contact for guest and staff queries. The role offers clear progression to Deputy General Manager and Hotel Director, and requires confidence in handling Duty Manager shifts and emergency situations.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience in hospitality management, with solid knowledge of guest relations and F&B operations. Experience with OPERA or Fidelio systems is preferred. Full training and induction across all hotel areas will be provided.
