Job summary

Bradford Music & Arts Service is seeking a casual brass teacher to cover whole class, group and individual lessons and to direct ensembles in schools and at Music Centres. The role sits within the West Yorkshire Music Hub team of instrumental and vocal teachers.

Applicants should have an enhanced DBS check and a current driving licence with access to their own transport. You will contribute to concerts, assessments and share best practice within the service.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Current driving licence with access to own transport.
• Experience teaching brass at multiple settings (whole class, groups, ensembles).

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils in groups and individually.
• Deliver whole class instrumental and continuation schemes.
• Tutor and direct ensembles or choirs in schools and at Music Centres.
• Take part in concerts and performances.
• Monitor and assess pupils; give constructive feedback and keep records.
