A leading health service provider in West Wales is seeking to recruit an individual to provide portering and cleaning services across their busy unit. The successful candidate will handle patient transfers, waste management, and cleaning tasks while offering flexible working hours, including weekends. Bilingual candidates, particularly Welsh speakers, are strongly encouraged to apply, with full training provided at the start of employment.

Job Summary

Hotel Services are currently looking to recruit an individual to provide portering and cleaning services across all areas in this busy unit. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Available to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to alter shifts as necessary.
  • Required to work weekends and bank holidays.
  • Duties include patient transfers between car parks and clinics, waste handling, responding to health safety and security concerns, distribution of mail, and furniture moves.
  • Check and clean sanitary areas, empty bins and perform other cleaning tasks.
Training

The successful candidates will receive full training at start, covering Moving and Handling, Fire Training and methods of restraint.

Language Requirements

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.   • Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
  • Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
  • Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
