Salary : £27,040 per annum

Job Description

This is a full‑time, 40‑hour role, including early, late and weekend shifts. We are looking for an outgoing Receptionist to join our meticulous Stock Exchange Hotel team.

You’ll bring the warmth and energy our guests love, confidently delivering exceptional service and ensuring every stay is memorable. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll become an expert on our hotel’s rich heritage and offerings, helping each guest feel informed and at home.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a hotel ambassador at all times, representing the brand and the company.
  • Greet all hotel guests and assist them with check‑in and check‑out.
  • Comply with all Security and Health & Safety policies.
  • Maintain an eye for detail, high standards, and be receptive to training and coaching.
  • Work under supervision, be polite and helpful to both team members and guests, and exhibit good communication skills.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English and interact comfortably with multi‑cultural clientele.
  • Possess a positive, motivated, friendly, trustworthy outlook whilst on duty.
  • Act upon guest feedback to continually improve our experiences.
  • Seek ways to continuously improve personal knowledge and skills and be actively involved with leaders in the creation of office best practices.
Qualifications
  • Previous front‑desk experience in hospitality is essential.
  • Previous experience with Marriott is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and professional manner.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and reservation software (e.g., Opera, PMS systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and handle guest issues effectively.
  • Good numeracy and administrative skills.
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and guest satisfaction.
  • Confident in handling cash, payments, and basic financial transactions.
