Introduction

As a Guest Service Assistant at The Arts Club, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. You will provide an exceptional standard of service to members and guests, support colleagues across departments, and uphold the Club's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Ensure the highest standards of service are consistently maintained and exceeded.
  • Act as a first point of contact for members and guests, handling enquiries, reservations, and in-room dining requests with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain tidy, organised work areas and adhere to personal presentation standards.
  • Be fully conversant with Front Office systems and ensure accurate use of Opera.
  • Provide detailed handovers between shifts and update the daily log.
  • Promote Club outlets and services (e.g., Lanserhof, valet, car hire, in-room treatments).
  • Support the Hotel Manager/Executive Housekeeper with VIP arrivals, guest profiles, and credit/banking procedures.
  • Ensure rooms are prepared to the highest standard, including amenities, coffee stations, and minibars.
  • Uphold confidentiality of guest, company, and employee information.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Fire regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and attend training or departmental meetings as required.
Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, welcoming manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Opera and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Flexibility to support colleagues, adapt to changing circumstances, and occasionally cover night audit shifts.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
Shift Pattern
  • 4 days on, 3 days off.
  • Flexibility required to cover occasional night shifts.
