Hotel Porter – Zero Hours

Working on a casual basis to meet the needs of the business. Hours of work will be between 8am and 8pm and weekends on a rota basis.

Hourly rate of £12.21 plus tronc.

Your role is essential, as you handle everything from assisting with luggage to creating a seamless first impression. The thrill of interacting with guests from around the world, coupled with the satisfaction of anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations, makes each day uniquely rewarding.

Who we are

Swinton Estate is situated in the Yorkshire Dales and is one of the largest privately owned estates in England. Constantly developing we boast Swinton Park, a luxury traditional castle hotel with 42 bedrooms, three holiday cottages and award winning Samuel’s Restaurant; a luxurious country club and spa including the contemporary Terrace Restaurant; Swinton Bivouac a glamping site with tree lodges, yurts and café, and last but by no means least the Swinton cookery school.

The Role

A Hotel Porter is required for Swinton Park 4 red star luxury hotel to work with our Front of House Team. Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Meeting our guests on arrival.
  • Taking responsibility for luggage.
  • Helping guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting with any enquiries from residents and non‑residents.
  • Being that all-important member of staff who sees them happily and safely on their journey at the conclusion of their stay.
  • To work up to 40 hours per week to include some evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
Candidates should be
  • Experienced in a Front of House environment.
  • Full UK driving licence (beneficial).
  • Guest focused.
  • Highly motivated with a can‑do attitude.
  • Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Focused on providing excellent customer service.
  • Able to work arrange of hours including early morning, evenings and weekends.
